Pharmacokineticists working with data from screening groups, small scale assays and lab tests, can bring together a wide variety of data in Spotfire. In collaboration with other groups they can formulate hypotheses based on trends in absorption, distribution and metabolic data along with chemical properties. They are able to share visualizations and decision points with chemists in order to make the most of synthesis strategies that can optimize the design of toxicology studies based on early findings. Toxicologists also gain valuable insight from the analysis of animal observations, lab tests, and pathology results in a single, visual environment. In turn they can share decision points with clinicians and help create the best possible early clinical trials.
"Spotfire DecisionSite enables scientists to explore in vitro and in silico ADME and chemistry data in a multidimensional framework. The application can integrate physicochemical and ADME data, encompassing results such as Caco-2 permeability and rule of 5 descriptors, polar surface area, chemical stability, and CYP450 3A4 inhibition. Implementation of this analysis in DecisionSite has accelerated the selection of molecules for further development based on optimum ADME characteristics, and providing medicinal chemistry with specific, data driven structural recommendations for improving the ADME profile."
