Analysis and Reporting Enhancements

A new 3-Dimensional Scatter Plot visualization gives Professional and Enterprise Player users new insights into their data by allowing them to interactively filter, zoom and rotate their data in 3 dimensions. Take analysis further by easily applying other dimensions using color, shape, size and trellis attributes.

New Intelligent Formatting for Improved Presentation

Spotfire 2.2 automatically optimizes the display of values, making visuals easy to read and interpret. Auto decimal and short number features make for “hands off” number formatting that’s always easy to read, while also providing much greater control over formatting to make reporting easier than ever. 

Data Delivery with Spotfire Web Player

Spotfire Web Player can now be used to allow web users to export data from tabular visualizations. Authors and administrators can control these export options on a per visualization basis or globally for the server. Data is downloaded in CSV format and is available as formatted or as unformatted data, and is limited to the columns displayed.

Curve Fit Export

The powerful new curve fit capabilities introduced in Spotfire 2.1 can now be taken further by allowing Spotfire Professional users to export the curve fit results to a file.

Customers wanting to deploy Spotfire Web Player to more users and more data will benefit from significant performance improvements and reduced memory footprint of Spotfire Web Player 2.2. Spotfire 2.2 delivers faster responses for users of web and desktop clients, making common interactions such as filtering, marking, changing pages, and calculations all significantly faster in many cases.


Instant load and scheduled refresh of Web Player Applications

Users can experience significantly faster load times for Web Player applications as Administrators can configure scheduled loading and update of Web Player applications. Data refresh ensures that Web Player users are notified when fresh data is available.

New Network Analytics Product

Network Graph

Spotfire Network Analytics is a new add-on application for Spotfire Professional that enables users to gain insights into complex interaction networks. Connections are displayed using a new highly interactive Network Graph visualization that fully integrates social network analysis techniques into the Spotfire environment. Analysts can interactively filter and explore network data alongside time series and geospatial data. Out-of-the-box functionality can be extended using APIs for custom layout and calculation algorithms.

Developer Enhancements

New Developer Resources on Spotfire Technology Network

Spotfire has enhanced the Spotfire Technology Network to provide more resources to developers and IT building on the Spotfire platform. The website offers articles, whitepapers and shared knowledge about how to customize applications for any business process, for users both within and outside the enterprise.

Improved Debugging and Deployment Process

Developers using the Spotfire Developer SDK to create custom extensions and integrations will benefit from a streamlined process for debugging, deploying and iterating on code.

New APIs

Spotfire Developer provides new APIs for those extending the Spotfire platform. Multi-threading APIs allow developers to build more responsive visualizations and plug-ins to the Spotfire clients. New APIs also allow images and virtual columns to be added to table visualizations.
