TIBCO SPOTFIRE TO PRESENT AT MIT SLOAN CIO SYMPOSIUM MAY 18

COO Rock Gnatovich to Discuss Leveraging the Power of Predictive Analytics to Make Better Business Decisions

Somerville, Mass., May 2, 2011 – TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) today announced that Rock Gnatovich, chief operating officer at Spotfire, TIBCO Software Inc. will be presenting at the eighth annual MIT Sloan CIO Symposium on May 18, 2011. This year’s event focuses on the evolving CIO’s role and how the CIO can create strategic value for organizations in a digital business world.

What: In a panel session titled “Enterprise Analytics Business Values,” Mr. Gnatovich, among other esteemed panelists, will discuss the need for businesses to take advantage of the full potential and power of predictive analytics. Specifically, Mr. Gnatovich and the panelists will address the idea of the ‘analytic bubble’ and what this means for today’s businesses. The panel will also examine how analytics can allow for rapid, targeted and scalable business experiments that enable users to gain key insights into underlying business dynamics and to better identify causality.
