Hi,

One option you have available to you is to take the S+ Jumpstart from within this community for free. It will take you through how to get started using S+.

Are you a Spotfire user who is looking to integrate S+ scripts into a Spotfire application? Where can I get S+ Jump Start? and from where I can download S+ or R Server with installation manuals?

The full training pathway for S+ is available here: http://support.spotfire.com/training/pathways/s+pathway.asp. This includes a link to an online presentation that introduces S+. In order to integrate S+ or R with Spotfire, customers need to purchase Spotfire Statistics Services, which manages clusters of S+ and R jobs, and provides the connectivity with the Spotfire platform. We installed Spotfire Statistic Server on our servers ... we also set the R URL in preferences to pint to the Statistical Server ... but when I try to run a data function that uses R function, I get back the following error:

Failed to execute function call.
TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services at 'http://ts-dll-sjc-004.pdf.com:8090/' cannot be reached.
   at Spotfire.Dxp.Data.DataFunctions.Executors.SPlusFunctionExecutor.<GetConnectedClient>d__1b.MoveNext()
   at Spotfire.Dxp.Data.DataFunctions.Executors.SPlusFunctionExecutor.<ExecuteFunction>d__d.MoveNext()
   at Spotfire.Dxp.Data.DataFunctions.DataFunctionExecutorService.<ExecuteFunction>d__6.MoveNext()

Do we need to install anything on the client? am I missing something?

Note: When I browse to http://ts-dll-sjc-004.pdf.com:8090/SplusServer/ I end up with 'TIBCO Spotfire Statistics Services' page

Found the problem. The URL was missing /SplusServerin preferences ....
