Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
I have a question regarding the one-year trial for TIBCO Silver Spotfire. I want to be able to share multiple analysis with my co-workers to review by sending them a simple link. However, I am only presented with one slot of public analysis. Is this a system limitation of the trial or am I not looking at the right places.

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
Sorry, but the trial is limited to one public "slot" for sharing. If you are trying to share analyses of different datasets, keep in mind that you can add multiple distinct datasets into one file (go to File > Add Data Tables...). This might help you deliver more content to your co-workers while staying within the limitations of the trial software.
Thanks for using Silver Spotfire, and let us know if you have more questions about the trial!

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
Thank you. Your tip helped a lot. I managed to create multiple pages of analysis and uploaded onto one public slot.

I have a question regarding the one-year trial for TIBCO Silver Spotfire.
Is it possible to update the language packs or is only the english language pack available?

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
First of all, to be clear, the data you load into Spotfire can be of any language or character set that is Unicode compliant. But I assume you are referring to the product menus, dialogs, and the Help documentation. Normally the Spotfire client supports German, French, Japanese and Chinese language translations of the menu system and Help documentation. If you do a regular 30-day evaluation (http://registration.spotfire.com/eval) you can change the language setting by going to the menu bar under Tools > Options > Application and switch language from the drop-down list.
However, unfortunately, for the Silver Spotfire trial, right now only English is available.

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
Here's what I'm trying to do:
I have data on oil and gas well productivity. I also have several additional attributes at each well location and I'm trying to find correlations between all of this. I can see how to do this one attribute at a time with regressions, but I'd like to see if there are combinations of several attributes that might give me some additional insight.
Probably a trivial matter to do this. I'm a beginner. Thanks for the help.

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
During Silver Spotfire's 1 year trial period, are there limitations related to the types of visualization available? For example, I couldn't figure out how to create a horizontal bar graph or gauge meters? Will these features be available in the full version?

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
H pyang, Silver Spotfire provides all graphs that are available out of the box for the full-client TIBCO Spotfire. Horizontal Bar Charts and Gauges are available through partner plug-ins or can be provided to you by our professional services team customizing the full-client. When you have the normal (not Silver) installation available, also the other graphs can be made available in your installation. Kind regards, Christof

Import from Spotfire Pro to Silver
Hello,
Often I set up a project in Spotfire and then wish to upload it into Silver. Is there a way to import from one into the other? Now, I essentially rebuild the project in Silver when I need to. An import would be nice.
Regards,
Jay

Re: Import from Spotfire Pro to Silver
Hi Mr. Knaebel,
If you are a paying webstore customer, you can use the Beta of a paid version of Silver, called "Silver Analytics" for the time being. This will allow you to save your work to our web servers free of the limitations of the Silver trial client. Register your existing webstore / Spotfire Pro credentials on this site to get the upgrade.

Re: TIBCO Silver Spotfire
Could you please explain the difference between the Spotfire Web Player and Silver Spotfire? Also, does Tibco offer a hosted cloud environment where data security can be ensured for a cost?
