    The Spotfire client has been written (using standard .NET functionality) to automatically run as a 64-bit application on a 64-bit operating system. It should work completely transparently and will provide the ability to address the greater memory volumes available to 64-bit systems.

    Your conclusion is correct: Microsoft does not have a 64-bit driver for .accdb and .mdb files. However, the Office 2010 beta that is available to anyone does have a 64-bit version with drivers and in my informal tests it works fine to access access files from a 64-bit Spotfire client. Give it a shot...
