TIBCO Spotfire® Metrics

TIBCO Spotfire Metrics is an add-on module to Spotfire Professional that adds greater analytic depth to adhoc reporting and your Web applications. Spotfire Metrics includes advanced methods like median, and also allows you to compose your own dynamic custom methods. Spotfire Metrics also includes tools to quickly cluster, correlate, and match patterns in your data. When used with Spotfire Statistics Services, Spotfire Metrics includes the tools to incorporate S+ or R programming language scripts seamlessly inside Spotfire applications.

  • Custom Expressions: Compose one’s own on-the-fly aggregations that respond dynamically to user input like filtering and marking. Custom expressions enable simple calculations like ratios and totals or complex KPIs like moving averages and year-over-year indexes 
  • Create what-if scenarios and other controlled exploration applications with Custom Expressions that can reference parameters controlled with input GUIs that are easily inserted into text areas 
  • Includes advanced dynamic aggregation methods for analyses that need to go beyond simple sums and averages. Spotfire Metrics users get access to a long list of built-in aggregation methods like Median, Standard Deviation, Variance, and much more 
  • Includes the Box Plot visualization, which makes it easy to evaluate value distributions at a glance, and easy to compare overlapping distributions using Tukey-Kramer circles 
  • Data Relationships makes it incredibly easy to find the correlated attributes in your dataset. Methods include Linear regression, ANOVA, Chi-square, spearman R, and Kruskal-Wallis 
  • K-Means Clustering automatically detects groups of similar trends 
  • Line Similarity automatically finds trends most similar (or dissimilar) to target trends of interest 
  • Hierarchical Clustering 
  • Curve fitting that goes beyond simple straight lines. Methods include logistic regression (for fitting IC50 splines), polynomial fit (1-5th order), power, exponential, logarithmic, and Gaussian 
  • Juxtapose curves of your own on the data – simply write your own functions 
  • Includes tools for working with Spotfire Statistics Services so you can provision deeply sophisticated analytic techniques based on S+ or R that are executed with just a click and are as easy to understand as a report card.
