Create Business Mashups with New Web APIs
Visual, Interactive Mashups
Create business mashups by integrating TIBCO Spotfire Web Player with other web applications and data sources from both inside and outside the enterprise. Developers can use new web APIs to enable two-way communication between Spotfire Web Player and other applications, creating compelling Web 2.0 user experiences for business applications.
Greatly Enhanced Web Integration
Spotfire Web Player 2.1 provides greatly-improved integration into your existing web applications and environment, starting with single sign on for a seamless user experience. New APIs allow for programmatic control over Spotfire Web Player applications, such as loading data and navigating pages. Application developers can create an integrated user experience by hiding or showing individual elements of the Web Player user interface such as header and sidebar. Finally, TIBCO Spotfire Developer now supports the creation of custom visualizations for use in Spotfire Web Player.

Line and Curve Fitting
Spotfire 2.1 brings together statistical and visual, interactive analysis to help you quantify underlying trends in your data. Easily apply a wide range of curve fits, and draw curves by importing previously fitted models or by writing your own curve expression. Lines and curves are redrawn dynamically as you filter, or can be frozen in place for comparison.
Independent Y-Axis Scaling
Easily visualize trends across disparate data scales by enabling independent scaling per Y-axis in scatter plots and line charts. You can toggle scaling per color, trellis panel or line and set scale properties for each individual axis.
Enhanced User Experience
Greater Interactivity in Spotfire Web Player
End users on the web can get more insight into data by interactively zooming axis ranges or drilling down into data with hierarchy sliders. Information Link queries to back end data sources can now prompt users with query parameters to load only the data they need.
Data Transformations
Spend more time analyzing your data and less time formatting it. Spotfire now makes it easy to automate tasks like pivoting or depivoting data, formatting values, adding or excluding columns, and much more.
Improved Labeling
Share your insights more easily with new data labels that show values more clearly and are automatically positioned to prevent overlap. Labels can also be manually positioned within a visualization to create better graphics for presentation.
